APICS is the leading professional association for supply chain and operations management.

Student Chapters

Recently APICS announced a change in the Case Competition structure and partnered with Deloitte Consulting LLP for running the competition. If you did not see the announcement you can link to it by clicking here.

This change takes responsibility for any of the process away from the individual districts, so there will not be a district lead phase of the competition going forward. All registrations, preliminary rounds and live rounds will be handled by the consulting firm.

The Mid-Atlantic District greatly values the interactions we had with the emerging professionals during the Case Competition and will be looking for new ways to renew that interaction in the future.

I hope you all will keep some other dates in mind and plan to support our District and APICS Events.

September 15 & 16, 2017 - The Mid Atlantic District Meeting

We will be in the New Jersey Area. The Friday Evening of this meeting is when the District holds an Auction to raise the money for Student Activities. As in all past years we like to have students there to help with the auction. Student Participation has decreased in recent years and I would like to see that turn around.

October 15, 16 & 17, 2017 - APICS 2017 Conference and Expo in San Antonio, Texas

Several Students from the District will be attending thanks to the great support of the Local Chapters. Of course, our 2017 District Competition Winners from the University of Pittsburgh will be competing in the APICS / TFC International Student Challenge so be sure to take the opportunity to watch the event and support our District Sponsored Team.

Hope to see you all at these events!

2017 Mid Atlantic District Student Case Competition Results

The APICS Mid Atlantic District hosted its eighth annual student case competition in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 24 and 25, 2017.
